Fine-tuning and successfully testing the island mode pack

The Mini Green Power technical team is proud to announce that it has successfully developed and tested an “island mode pack” capable of making mini power plants compatible on an isolated site without access to the power grid. Combining biomass, battery and any other sources of renewable energy production, the mini power plant can now produce heat and electricity for isolated communities by creating a micro-grid.

This pack also allows our mini plants to produce on the grid or to fade away, to promote self-consumption.

This is the first time that a mini biomass plant that runs from wood waste can run on an isolated grid with a frequency and a perfectly stable voltage.

This 24-month project was funded by the Southern Region through European Feder funds.

This demonstrator will allow Mini Green Power to pursue its ambitions in terms of development on the islands and in developing countries.
