Important place of wood energy in the PPE!

The new Multiannual Energy Program (EPP) confirms the place of the wood energy sector in the energy transition.

The target set by the Government is to go from 22% of renewable heat production in 2017 to 38% in 2028, of which 67% will come from solid biomass.

To support the sector, the Chaleur Fund, which finances the projects, will increase by € 100 million in 2020. This is an important commitment to get out of fossil fuels and move towards low carbon energy self-sufficiency.
