PRESS RELEASE: Mini Green Power Enters Liquidation Proceedings

38 patents, 18 employees, and greentech assets available for acquisition

By order of the Commercial Court dated June 2, 2026, Mini Green Power was placed in judicial liquidation with business continuity until September 2, 2026. The company continues to operate and is actively seeking a buyer to deploy the technology. A call for bids will open during the week of June 11, 2026.

An active process, focused on a takeover.

Mini Green Power is a French SME specialising in the design and construction of small modular power plants, enabling the conversion of local waste into low-carbon energy and biochar. The company is based in Hyères (Var), holds 38 patents developed over more than 12 years of research and investment, and has 18 employees.

By decision of the Commercial Court dated June 2, 2026, Mini Green Power was placed in judicial liquidation with business continuity. This procedure runs until September 2, 2026. Throughout this period, the company continues to operate.

The unexpected termination of its main commercial partnership with Suez has weakened its entire financial structure, leading to the initiation of these insolvency proceedings. The startup is contesting the termination of the contract and has sued the multinational. However, it was unable to avoid liquidation.

Despite this setback, its CEO, Jean Riondel, has decided to continue fighting to develop the technology and deploy it in France and around the world. He wants to continue with the team and is looking for a buyer who will further develop the company and serve customers ready to commit to decarbonization through this technology.

Valuable assets in a rapidly growing sector

Mini Green Power is a concrete acquisition opportunity for companies in the green energy, waste management, or energy transition sectors.

The assets available as part of the tender process include:

  • 38 active patents across 10 countries protecting proprietary technology for converting waste into low-carbon energy and biochar—the result of twelve years of R&D
  • 18 employees with expertise in engineering, digital technology, and project management (engineers, technicians, production staff)—a qualified, operational, and transferable workforce
  • Tangible and intangible assets of the company: equipment, industrial know-how, commercial pipeline, available public funding

A detailed valuation of the assets is available from the court-appointed administrator.

A tender process will open starting the week of June 11, 2026

In accordance with the provisions of the judicial liquidation procedure with business continuity, a call for bids will open starting the week of June 11, 2026. Any company interested in acquiring all or part of Mini Green Power’s assets is invited to submit an offer as soon as possible.

Deadline for submitting bids: July 2, 2026, 4:00 PM

“Mini Green Power is currently going through a difficult phase. But I am convinced that the company can bounce back: we have 38 patents valid in 10 countries, a team of 18 expert employees, and proven technology in a rapidly growing sector. The team is united and highly committed. Twelve years of work have built something tangible with high added value in the medium and long term.

I am convinced that there is a player—whether an industrial firm, an investor, or a corporate group—who will see this situation as a rare opportunity. It is to that person that I am speaking today. The planet needs ambitious and clean technologies. France needs concrete solutions for its waste. Low-carbon waste recovery in a short supply chain—that’s Mini Green Power! This need is universal, both in France and abroad. ”

Jean Riondel, Founder and CEO, Mini Green Power
