Jean Riondel has been an expert in the start-up of gas turbines and cogeneration plants for over 20 years (80% abroad). He has worked for major contractors such as Alstom, GE, Exxon Mobil and Total. He specialises in the start-up and optimisation of large power plants (250 to 900 MW). Jean has worked on the most technologically advanced power plants, leading teams of international experts. For 10 years he worked on high-risk sites in countries in conflict (Iran, Nigeria, Angola, Ivory Coast, Mali, Israel).
"After years of experience working on very large-scale power plants, I had the vision that the future would lie with smaller, more modular and environmentally-friendly power plants that would make local use of waste. Low-carbon energy, control over the cost of energy and the rising cost of landfilling waste are opening up a major window of opportunity for us."
Jean is a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers (ENSAM 1988).
