OUR CUSTOMER
The customer is a player in the waste industry.
In July 2017, at the Torre Nova site in Sicily, Mini Green Power commissioned a 2.5 MW thermal power plant, with two ORCs of 100 kW electricity each. The plant is fuelled by green waste from an Italian waste management company. It produces electricity that is sold to the Italian grid. The heat is used locally for heating and in a food processing plant.
OUR NEEDS
> Turning the green waste it collects and processes locally into energy and producing heat for
heating food preparation and its buildings.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PLANT
Mini Green Power commissioned the facility in September 2017 and trained the operating teams to autonomously manage the plant. Our teams continue to provide remote operational support as required. From time to time, Mini Green Power teams visit the site to help improve the plant's performance with the help of the operator.
> Remuneration linked to the production of electricity sold back to the grid, with a feed-in tariff mechanism.
> Remuneration for the collection and processing of green waste.
> Remuneration linked to the sale of co-generated heat sold to a food preparation plant.
> Savings generated by using part of the heat produced to heat all its premises.
The ecological plus: Recovering waste in a short circuit
Recovering the woody fraction of locally produced green waste, avoiding the pollution associated with transport.
Adding renewable energy to the electricity grid.
